The most important previous stages of my life include:

I was born 1970 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1989 I finished with a medal The First English High School in Sofia. A Master’s Degree in Laser Physics was awarded to me in 1994 by the Faculty of Physics, The Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. In 1996, at the end of my National Service I was promoted to a Junior Lieutenant in the Bulgarian Army.

Since my early childhood I grew up surrounded by dentists and dental technicians. It happens so that I am dental generation number three in our family.

The British part of my dental career started on the first working day of 2009 in Brighton as an NHS General Dentist. Towards the end of the same year I moved to the IOW, known to me only from some novels and history books. Even nowadays I congratulate myself for the wonderful choice. Soon after that my wife Lily and our three (then little) children joined me. Lily is a dentist too and she has been treating patients on the IOW since 2010. Initially Ryde welcomed us but very soon Cowes became our home.

After working for a couple of years as a NHS dentist, a fully private position was offered to me in Southampton, where I worked until 2023. In 2023 family reasons made me move back to Bulgaria, where I reopened my own practice. I love Bulgaria but I also sincerely and heavily missed the IOW… and now I have found the perfect solution- working in both Sofia and Cowes.

It is my belief that every patient must be treated with respect and kind attitude and deserves to live healthy and with the best possible smile. In my opinion, it is of utmost importance to take my time, listen to and hear my patients’ concerns. My way is to try to be as friendly and approachable as possible and to treat my patients as I would treat a member of my family.

Outside my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, working in the garden, fishing, travelling. Nature is my inspiration. Two of our children are studying dentistry… so life is getting even more interesting 😊
